Love this Blog

My girlfriend Felica sent me the link to this amazing blog yesterday. I love it. I love it. I love it. I hope you do too.

MIA

The Dunaway's have been out of the loop for almost a week due to camera issues. But so much has happened, so I thought I would fill you in. As soon as these technical issues are resolved every thing will be documented for you viewing pleasure.

1. Taylor is now crawling all over the place. I can hardly keep up with the little lady.

2. She sat up on her own on the 19th of August. Now when we put her down for naps or bed time she sits right up and pitches a royal fit.... Which lead to #4

3. Taylor's Six Month Birthday was on the 24th . We spent the morning at Babies R Us. Dusty let her pick out her own toy. He walked her up and down the rows of toys until she picked up her own treasure. It's a very scary looking purple doll.... and I mean very scary!

4. Taylor pulled herself up and stood in her crib on August 25th

5. Taylor's Six Month check up was on the 25th. Here are the stats. Length 26 inches 60 percentile. Weight 16.12 pounds 66 percentile. Head Cir 17 inches 71 percentile. She is very healthy and extremely active. Her fine motor skills are at a 10 month level!

6. She started saying DA DA DA DA DA on Tuesday Aug 26th

7. This morning she cut her first tooth.

Pictures to follow

These were taken on the 13th of August.

Love Him

The other night Brad took me to see Joshua Radin. I love him...{Joshua, I mean} One of our first dates was a Joshua Radin concert back when he was a total no name song writer - he is only getting better. If you don't know him you should watch this! Then you should buy his music on iTunes!

Done!

Lindsay's shower was a hit!!!! Thanks for everyone's help {especially Brad for helping make over 10o wontons} I was so busy hosting, I forgot to take any pictures once we were all set up and people came. {I know I am lame} But Brad managed to snap these while I was getting ready.

The house looked great! We had all of Lindsay's favorite foods - Wontons, Tomato Basil Bruschetta, Veggies, Fruit Salad, Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies, Peanut M&M's, Hot Tamales & IBC Rootbeer. Lindsay has the BEST recipe for chocolate chip cookies so I gave all the guests a glass container full of cookies & included the recipe. We also played "true love bingo" and tried to embarrass her as much as possible. {It was wonderful!}

What a difference a DAY makes!

Big Day Big Day

Two huge things are happening today.
1. Tara is leaving for ASU. She is driving with her dad from Oregon to Arizona to start her first year of college. Dusty and I are so jealous. This will be the best 4 years of her life. We are so so proud of her. WE LOVE YOU TARA!!!

Is she the cutest thing you have ever seen!

2. Taylor should be getting a new cousin any minute now. Uncle Tony and Aunt Paula are expecting there third little Dunaway. Her due date is today and we can't wait to welcome the little man.

And new addition makes 2 boys and town girls for Nana.... perfect!!!

** DUSTY JUST TOLD ME THAT PAULA WENT TO THE HOSPITAL LATE LAST NIGHT!!

PPS.. Just found out that the little man came yesterday at 11:00 am... thanks for letting us know family. Just because we are in California doesn't mean we don't want to know the good news. You are in big trouble... just kidding!! Can't wait to see the pictures.

Anyone out there?

Hello friends and family!

Channeling Tutu from heaven

Remember when Tutu would take out her teeth and start laughing? Oh my... I'm laughing right now just thinking about it. Taylor acquired a new smile. She sucks in her lips over her gums and makes a flat huge grin. Pictures don't do it any justice just trust me, it's the best.

Crawling update

Want to get the peanut to move like the wind? Put an electronic device in from of her (i.e. remote, cell phone or camera.)

I need this!

In case you haven't heard - I'm training to run the Nike Women's Marathon in October...Crazy, I know!!!! I've learned a lot of things about my self since I have been training - one if which is that I am very bad at keeping a steady pace - turns out - depending what song I am listening to I go really fast, or really slow. So basically when Usher comes on I run fast...when my friend Rod Stewart comes on my running turns to a steady crawl. {yes - I admit it...I love Rod Stewart}

Which brings me to this....I need to get one of these!!!! and fill it with all the fasted, loudest music I own. {If only I could decide on a color}

I also learned I get REALLY hot - so I'm not so good with the ipod armbands - this clip is about all I can handle.

Sunday

We had a wonderful day on Sunday. I got to sleep in!!!! Which really only means that I slept until 7:30, and Dusty got up with Taylor at 5:30. Here is our play by play....

Dusty took Taylor and Lucy for a long walk on the beach while I got some zzzzz. Than he returned with my favorite Starbucks latte. What a treat!!!
We went out for a nice breakfast and one of our favorite places
Taylor took a wonderful 2 1/2 hour morning nap and afterwords we spent the afternoon at the beach. I got some great pictures that will be uploaded to snapfish soon. I promise. Than we walked though the Solana Beach farmers market and bought some amazing produce. The flowers were amazing too, but I held off. No flowers till we get a new president and the economy changes.

Taylors first dig in the sand with Daddy

"Get your hands off my daughter"

Our dear friends the Temar's watched Taylor while we were in Ohio. They were amazing, at the last minute they took her for two days so that we could be close to her while we were at the Euchre Tournament. We were back and forth during the days and spent the nights with her, which wouldn't have been possible without them ( since they were only 5 minutes away from us)
These are the pictures that Kerry Temar took with her boys. And I quote Dusty... "You tell those boys to keep there hands off my daughter" Tanner and Taylor. Tanners initials are TNT... fitting
Tanner and Taylor
Big Hug
Kane... is he the cutest thing you have ever seen.... I mean ever!!!! Do you think she has had a good time? She can hardly keep her eyes open.
My favorite

How close?

We have had a lot of questions regarding Taylor's "almost" crawling. She is not there yet but here is a sample of where we are to date.

p.s. That spitting thing is an unfortunate side effect to the peas and carrots she is eating. When she discovered she could spit like a baseball player Mom started to wear Taters lunch.

p.p.s Wow, carrots stain. Even when I pretreated and washed her shirt immediately they still left a mark. So Taylor is now eating in the nude. So fashionable... so riska.

Skipping a grade... no big deal

After our last swim class Taylor's teacher told us that she would be a better fit for the more advanced class. So as of Friday Taylor will be skipping a grade and moving up with the bigger kids, ages 7 to 9 months. Watch out Micheal Phelps, you might be going for 8 gold metals but Taylor will go for 9 in the 1028 Olympics... no big deal! Phelps breaking the World Record
Taylor nipping at his heals

Things I love

I found these great handmade wooden toys from Melissa and Doug. I love how classic they are and they are super inexpensive!!! I'm pretty sure we had the block maze when we were little. I already got the rainbow stacker ($6.99!!!) for Taylor, it's perfect for her little hands. Next we are going to buy the shape sorter which will be great for her cognitive development. Great gift ideas for any little baby's, perhaps the new baby Dunaway due any day now.

Baby... or 60 year old man?

Look at that rocking receding hairline! All of the hair that has fallen out is being replaced by blondish/reddish hair. Unfortunately the hair on top and on the sides is still dark brown and isn't going anywhere.

Any minute now!

Here are the latest pictures of our Tator Tot. Yesterday Taylor popped up on her knees and started rocking back and forth, she is reaching out for toys and trying to wiggle her knees forward. We should have a crawling peanut any day now. God help us!

AHHHH Peas

Taylor had her first Veggie dinner! I made my own organic baby food with pureed steamed peas and breast milk. Yes, she gagged the entire time and is now piercing her lips so tight that we can't even get the spoon in her mouth. Guess she didn't like them.... well too bad little lady, not eating your veggies is not an option in this house!

Thank you Great Aunt Jody for my oh so cute Peanut bib and to Great Auntie Pat, Great Auntie Barbara and Great Great Auntie Georga for my beautiful highchair and princess bowl.

Love Fall

I know every where else in the world it is unbearably hot - but here in San Francisco {Fall is in the Air} After a rainy 53 degrees today - I'm felling the itch to be the first to have all the pretty, pretty things that are popping up in the stores for fall.

Starting with my feet - I'd like these, and these, and these and these.

I want tho wear all these wedges with colored tights this fall {colored tights are FIRST on my list - good thing I already have red & purple left over from last year}
