BBQ Yum {and Bruiser}

Texas was awesome! I laid in the pool all day for 2 days and loved it. Barbara's house was beautiful {I liked it so much I forgot to take a pictures} Hands down the best part was the Barbecue {and bruiser} We went to this dive called the Feed Store- I had a huge plate of pulled pork, bbq brisket, mac & cheese, french fries & a roll {oh...and a huge glass of sweet tea}

This is the five star establishment

This is the only rule at the Feed Store {note- you can have A weapon...just not an unlicensed weapon}

Last but not least BRUISER - to put this photo in context Megan is only 65 lbs- you should see the size of this dog next to a person my size.

Happy Memorial Day

I wonder if Taylor can have corn on the cob without any teeth.

Reading with Daddy

Taylor loves to read. This is her new favorite book from Grammie. It makes sounds and flashes little lights. She should be reading out loud in a few days and we already started her application to Yale. Baby Genius... no big deal.

Baby BBQ

On Saturday we had some friends over for a Baby BBQ. I met this wonderful group of girls through my lactation support group and birthing class. There are ten girls and our babies were all born within three weeks of each other. We get together on Thursdays for coffee and we are starting swim classes in a couple of weeks. This was a great chance to get our husbands to meet each other too.
Three of the girls had left before we took the picture. Funny... all of the babies were asleep except of Mayla in the middle.

Happy Birthday Lucia

Last Thursday was Taylor's best friends first birthday. We had an amazing rib dinner, ate cupcakes and opened presents. It was wonderful. Happy, Happy Birthday LUCIA!

Give me that Cupcake Grandma!!

This was Lucias first taste of frosting. I love the messy fingers!

Just my luck

So I've been hunting around for things I might like to have for my birthday. I found this ring at the Juicy store - turns out it's from last season and apparently the only one left in the whole county is a size 6. {says the sales associate that was LESS than helpful} I've been obsessing over it for days so Brad finally found one for sale on e-bay...too bad it was $150 {original price $78}

If any of you find this ring in a size 7 - you should buy it for me!

I'm loving it!!!

This is my new favorite thing! Have you tried McDonald's Iced Coffee? I have to say, it's about 10 times better than Starbucks and a large is only 2.50, and when I say large I mean it. It's huge! I get the regular flavor but they have vanilla and hazelnut too. Try it!! You will thank me.... PROMISE

Hawaiian Princess

Tutu would love her.

Weekend at the Beach in San Diego

This weekend we spent everyday at the beach. On Saturday our friend Johnathan was playing in the AVP Beach Volleyball tournament in Ocean Beach.

He is training for the 2012 Olympics in London.

This is a picture of the Tayder Tot and Megan Genovese ( Johnathan's beautiful girlfriend). I should also mention that Megan and Johnathan both graduated from Pepperdine Law school on Friday. AMAZING!!! Congratulations to both of them.

Dad and the peanut!
Sunday we spent the day with the Genovese's at the beach. It was Taylor's first day laying out.
First dip in the ocean!!!! Dad wanted to take her in the waves... Mom said HELL NO!!

Love SF

Sometimes I run through life forgetting just how lucky I am. Saturday we went on an awesome bike ride through the city ending here... {This is the best time of year in San Francisco - hands down}

Plus we stopped at Cold Stone for some Ice cream

Then Sunday morning Brad made "garbage hash" basically every veggie we have in the fridge mixed with eggs and cheese {again - I am so lucky!}

I love the outdoors! {insert sarcasm here}

Brad just told me he has been planning a river rafting trip with his college friends and their wives. Litte does he know I'm going to need this...

and this...

and these...

and this...

oh - and this to carry it all in....

I'm not getting out of it - so I might as well look cute right?

Serenity Now

Every night Lucy waits by the door for Dusty to get home from work. She has the same routine. She will pass in front of the door for about an hour... and than when she gets sick of that she sits in front of the door with her favorite toy and whimpers until he comes home.
I should also mention that this whimper is more like a loud pathetic sigh, that she repeats over and over.

Cute I know, but here is the problem. Dusty came home from work at 6:00 pm three days in a row last week (instead of his usual 7:30)... Yep, you guessed it! Now Lucy starts her mellow drama a full hour and a half earlier. That's almost 3 hours of this crazy escapade every night.
It sounds endearing but it's rather annoying trust me!!!

This is her pacing in front of the door.. every so often she will stop to look out the window just to double check.

This is Lucy sitting...... and waiting..... and whining

Mothers Day

Dusty and Taylor made my first Mothers Day absolutely wonderful. We went to an amazing brunch at the Grand Del Mar where we ate ourselves silly. Later in the afternoon we we went to a craft fair at a local winery with the Genovese family.

Family Picture. Taylor was asleep the whole time brunch!

Taylor got me some beautiful sunflowers and I love the cookie box that the Grand Del Mar gave all of the mothers.

Taylor and her best friend Lucia hanging out at the winery. They had on matching yellow outfits.

Mom's

Isn't it crazy how you always hope you don't turn out like your mom - then one day you wake up and realize you are your mom?

{It didn't take me long to realize there is no one I would rather be like}

Happy Mothers Day

I am so lucky to have such wonderful Mothers in my life. Thank you for everything.

Rugs

Brad is looking for a new place to live and during all the open houses I cannot help but start decorating his new apartment in my mind. When he finds a place I want him to get one of these rugs. {ok, i know, bachelor pads are not my area of expertise - but he's going to love it}
