The Best!

Last weekend was the best! My entire family came to SF on Thursday to play with me and cheer me on at the Marathon. {I had the best weekend ever, I miss them SO much} Like Ashley said, we shopped, ate, and played for 5 days straight. The marathon was amazing - the sheer number of people was totally overwhelming! Here are some pics. Thanks to everyone who made so many generous donations to help me raise over $2,400 for Cancer Research.

After brunch in Tiburon

Taylor was SO cute - I couldn't get my hands off her

I even gave her a bath in the sink at the hotel {she is a total poser - she knows when the camera is watching}

I had a HUGE pasta dinner at the cheesecake factory {"carbing" up for the race!}

Fisherman's Warf

Here is my name along with the other 20,000 runners

My Jersey {in honor of all the family and friends of donors affected by cancer}

The starting line - look at all those people!

My biggest fans!

The BIG FINISH!!!!!!

Thanks again to all my family and friends for supporting me in ALL the things I do - including this one - I love you and miss you already!
{p.s. Brad took some really cool video at the finish line - once I figure out how to load it - I'll post it for you}

Arizona Here We Come

Yes we are heading on another trip this weekend. We have been to Austin, San Fran and now Arizona in just under a month. Taylor's schedule is totally out of whack, we have been having some long nights which is not typical for our little peanut. And very hard on us since she was sleeping through the night.

We are headed to see Auntie Tara and her new ASU life style. Taylor can't wait to see her Nana ( it has been far to long) and Great Aunt Jody too. Just another little family Reunion before we hunker down for the Holidays.

ASU is only 5 hours from our house so we will traveling by car.... I'll let you know how the peanut does, I have to say, I am a little nervous

San Fran!!!

First, I am so sorry that I have not posted on our little Blog in almost 2 weeks. I have been crazy busy! Last weekend Taylor and I went on a five day trip to San Fran to see Aunt Allie run in her first marathon. This is a huge deal since the Johnson family does not exercise ( well mom does, but that's it). We had the most amazing time shopping, shopping, spending time with family, eating great food... and shopping. My Dad and Brad were the best sports, I know Dusty would have lost his mind. Taylor loved reconnecting with Grammie and Papa, Auntie Allie and Brad and her favorite Auntie Caitlin. We need to get together as a family more often and make sure Dusty can make it too.
She had written all of the names of our family/friends who have been effected by cancer on her jersey. Like. Aunt Pat, Cameron and Aunt Judy.. etc, etc

Look at that lady... not even winded ( she was laughing) Oh, and this is mile 7.

Riding the cable car. Taylor was looking at a little boy playing on the side of the trolley. We are in big trouble.

Getting Dummer

So I decided today that Brad actually has a master plan with this whole GMAT thing....he is going to get smarter while I get dummer. Since Brad is studying ALL the time I've been doing this...

Please help me!!!! I am totally addicted to TV {I can't stop watching}. The worst part about it is not only am I watching entirely too much TV-I'm watching all the crazy girl shows that Brad would NEVER watch. {maybe it's not so bad after all}

Miss Her

Today after work while waiting for Brad to meet me at the gym I wondered in here...

I immediately went downstairs and was SO excited to see all the Christmas goodies. Tutu and I spend thousands of hours shopping together - specifically at Christmas time. She was never happier than browsing around the holiday section at a department store. I took my time and looked at every little thing {just like she taught me} Then I went to the housewares- our next favorite department...I wanted ALL of the Martha Stewart collection for my kitchen. I know I get 40% off at Williams Sonoma, but I just LOVE this Tiffany blue. {Tutu would understand.}

I wanted to buy so many things-but then it dawned on me...if I continue to buy all the pretty things I see sooner than later I will be the one collecting rubber bands and re-using Ziploc bags {things really do come full circle - don't they?}

My next mistake was walking in here...if you don't know about Gumps you should click here. The entire entrance of the store is full of amazing ornaments and beautiful nutcrackers - everything Christmas!!! I can't for my mom to get here so we can pay homage to Tutu together.

Austin Pumpkin Patch

We made another trip to a pumpkin patch in Austin and had a wonderful time. They had sectioned off hundreds of different verities of pumpkins to pick from ( you can tell our favorite). We took a hay ride to the most amazing wild flower fields where you could pick a cup full for 2 dollars. And Taylor got to take her first horse ride.

Austin Adventures

We had an amazing time in Austin. The Raish family went all out to make us feel at home and fill our days will fun projects. Here is a little sample of some funny random pics.
Taking the boat out for dinner. How funny is Taylor in that life jacket?
They had the most amazing toys for Taylor to play with. She could not have been happier.

So sorry monkey lovers

Before we left for Austin I got Taylor's Halloween costume in the mail. Let me tell you, it was horrible. I'm not quite sure where they got that stinking cute picture but the quantity and fit of the costume made me sick. There was no way that I would put my little perfect little peanut in an ugly, nasty, looks like used... and smell likes used outfit. So, I sent it back.

I was so bummed ( really pissed off) because I the best plan. Taylor could be a flying monkey, I would be Dorothy, Dusty the wizard and of course Lucy would be Toto. ( for Allie of course)

I had to be resourceful and buy a new costume. I think it is pretty wonderful, not as wonderful as making the family the land of oz, but what do you do?
It will be a surprise so you have to wait and see, but I will tell you that I had Taylor try it on at the store and two women and the store manager took pictures with their cameras because it was so freaking funny.

Worn Out {me & the shoes}

For those of you who don't already know I am doing this 2 weeks from today!

After a 10 mile run today I have to admit...I actually wore out my first pair of running shoes. As a person who hates running {or exercising for that matter}, this is quite an accomplishment.

hello new shoes - goodbye $90

Happy 3-0

Happy Birthday to my sister Ashley!!! Today Ashley turned 30 years old...I can't believe she is 30 {that means I am 28 - not too far behind} It's crazy how the older you get the more you learn to appreciate your family. I am so grateful to have such an amazing family and the best 2 sisters in the world. Ashley and I have had some rough patches but I love her more today than ever before. Thank you for being so kind, patient and most of all for keeping me sane. I love you!
