Kites!
One of my birthday presents was a pair of trick kites. I finally cashed in last weekend. Brad and I got the Prism Nexus Kites - These are going to be loads of FUN! (just check out the logo on the tag)
"Big enough for real-kite performance, small enough to pack in a suitcase, the Nexus is an adrenaline-filled intro to sport kiting and we know it’ll get you hooked."
Our new kite team name - "Fire & Ice" (you should see us on the competition kite circuit in no time)

Swimming Lessons
Today was Taylor's first swim lessons. I was a little nervous about getting her back in the pool after her last swim attempt, but SHE LOVED IT!! Perhaps it had to do with the fact that the pool was 94 degrees or that she had all of her little friends with her (from mommy group) but my guess is that she is a natural swimmer. I bet she will be a master at the butterfly like Aunt Allie.
She giggled the whole time and kicked her legs like a crazy lady! We worked on floating on our back, floating on our tummy, kicking off the side, splashing, and blowing bubbles. These lessons are all about getting used to the water and feeling comfortable on there backs, Lesson 5 is the head dunk.....I'll let you know how that goes. I wish I could have taken pictures but I promise we will get some soon. We can take her to the pool on Saturdays and practice for free. I can't wait for Dusty to play around with her. WATCH OUT 2028 Olympics, here comes Taylor!
I took this picture after the lesson. She was pooped!
Big Girl Food!
Taylor had her first bowl of Rice Cereal last night. She did great! A couple looks of confusion but she took the entire serving. Dad held her while I fed her and took pictures.... and yes it helped with her sleeping too. She didn't got through the whole night but she slept for 7 hours straight! We put her down at 8:30pm and she woke up at 3:30am to feed. I had a little bit of a hard time putting her back down but she ended up sleeping until 7:00 am.

4 Month Check Up
Today was Taylor's 4 Month Check Up. She had a great visit and got a A+ on all of her developmental milestones. We got the "go ahead" on rice cereal, which we hope to start soon. And our doctor was very excited to hear that she was still exclusively on breast milk. Here are her stats...
Length: 25 inches 78 percentile
Weight: 14 pounds 10 ounces 73 percentile
Head Circumference: 16.25 inches 60 percentile ( this was a big leap, at 2 months she was only
in the 30 percentile.)
Taylor with her little pick elephant. She loves to snuggle and nap with her.

Sample Sale
This weekend was the quarterly Williams-Sonoma sample sale. This is my 4th official sale and I must say - I am getting very good at this. I cannot even describe the madness at these sales - each employee is assigned a lottery number 1-1300. Then 1300 people line up at 9:30am the doors open and ALL manners and human decency are lost! (kicking, screaming, pushing...everyone lets their crazy out)
I scored this dresser - in double wide antique white. I'm going to use it as a TV stand in our front room ($30 - can't beat that!)
and Brad got this awesome Farmhouse dresser for $90

Weekend with Grammie and Papa
We had a wonderful weekend with Grammie and Papa. Our days were packed with sightseeing and playing with the peanut,our nights were spent playing cards, watching movies and eating good food.... what more could you ask for? Taylor cryed the whole way home from the airport on Tuesday, she was sad to see them go.
Visiting the Midway. It took over two hours to walk through the whole ship. Taylor was a perfect angel.
Baby in the Brig! { How funny is he with the baby backpack}
Every time Papa would play with Taylor she couldn't stop looking at him.... so cute

Playing dress up.. This reminds me of when Brian dressed up Caitlin.
Bath time with Grammie... Best part of visiting or being visited by grandparents is all of the baby help. Plus Taylor loves it.
After Taylors Bath
Cute Dads....off to the U.S Open!

Summer Weekends
How cute is my man? We have been SO busy-2 weeks ago while I was in Texas he hiked Mt. Shasta with his friends. They braved a blizzard and had to turn away just before reaching the summit. {As experienced mountain men they were wise enough to know when to turn around}
Last weekend we went White Water Rafting down the Kern River near Bakersfield - it was SO much fun. We lost Brad in a class 4 rapid, flipped the boat on a class 5 rapid...and then again on a class 4. I may have spent more time in the water than in the boat! Turns out we were having so much fun we forgot to take 1 picture.
p.s how amazing are these pictures - {Brad's friend Kris is a very talented photographer}

Dad!
Happy Father's Day to our amazing Dad! He is the most kind, patient, trusting, loving, hard working, genuine & honest man I know. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful dad who loves us so unconditionally. Thanks for all you have done, still do & will always do for us - I love you and appreciate you more than you will ever know!
Happy Fathers Day
Happy Fathers Day to my wonderful husband. He is the most amazing father any little peanut could ask for! And because of that little Tatter Tot got her big Daddy a ticket to the U.S. Open. My dad got a ticket also. They are going to be leaving the house in about 1 hour!! what a great way to spend Fathers day. Walking around Torrey Pines without your wife driving you crazy.
This is the card that I put the ticket in. It says....

Stupid Verizon...
why can't I have you & the new iphone? If Verizon was not the only cell phone service that works in my house I would buy this pretty thing. {maybe I need to move}
OK, I admit it....
I'm a slacker, I didn't sweep for 3 days.
P.S. this is just from the living room.
{Oh the joys of having a golden retriever in the summer time.}

Poor Little Lucy
Our little Lucy Faye Dunaway blew out her knee this morning. We took her out to the beach and while she playing in the ocean... "pop". Dusty spent the afternoon at the vet getting our girl all drugged up. After xrays it looks like it's just a sprain but there is a chance that the tendon is torn. If that's the case our poor little Lucy will need surgery. We have to "try" to keep her off her leg and drugged up for the next 10 days. We will keep you posted.
UMMM.... can you can tell how drugged she is? Yes, she is trying to eat her bowl.
