LA
I couple weeks ago Brad and I embarked on an awesome road trip. We spent a couple days with Brad's brother Brent in LA - a couple days with our friends in Huntington Beach- and ONE perfect day with Ashley & Taylor. After living in southern California for over 3 years it's hard to believe I had never done all the Hollywood tourist stuff {Poor Brad had to come along for the ride}
Plus!!!! We saw WICKED at the Pantages Theatre{it was AMAZING!}

Invitations Ideas
So Auntie Pat - you are too kind. I would only be so lucky to have you address the invitations!!! Only if you really want too {I mostly wanted to pick your brain for pretty ideas, not expecting you to make them} I was thinking something simple for the invitation - maybe like this {but in pinks & oranges} Of course adding some detail in the ribbon and the scallop border.
I am also really into things with initials - I wonder if I could work in an "L" stamp somewhere.
More ideas to come! What do you guys think?

Small Shower
So I mentioned before that I am hosting a bridal shower for my roommate Lindsay. I just got the invitation list {only 15 people} of that only about 10 will be able to come. I am so excited because that means I can do lots of special things. I'm thinking that pink/orange will be the theme. I want to buy each guest on of these tea cups with their initial and fill them with ranunculus {and I want to make these tissue balls from Martha Stewart to hang from the living room ceiling} All I need now is invitation help - Auntie Pat????? {I was thinking since I only have to make 15 I could do something really cool}

4th of July ideas
We are having a BBQ at our house on the 4th. I think I'm going to make this cake from Martha.
Friends?
Those of you who have visited our little family know that our dear little Lucy does not like our new little arrival. Before Taylor was born everyone told me that Lucy would be very protective and loving but they were wrong. She has always been terrified and dismissive toward Taylor.... until yesterday.
I'm not sure what happened but all of the sudden Lucy took a liking to our Peanut.
Playing together
Napping together
Getting a kiss... She had been licking her for a good 2 minutes before I was able to find the camera. After her Lucy bath I had to give her a much needed baby bath.
